Viamark’s Franchise Bootcamp ‘17

Viamark Team

May 2017

Continuing education is at the heart of every great franchise. It’s why, when you become a

Viamark Franchise, we don’t just hand you the keys and say, “Good luck” – we invest in our

franchises with regular opportunities to share and learn about our ever-changing industry.

In May, our franchises gathered together in Raleigh to learn and discuss the current state and

future of our industry. Speakers from prominent companies like Cox Automotive, Demand Local,

and Capital Broadcasting spoke to our Franchisees about the challenges and opportunities in

today’s ad marketplace.

At Viamark, we know continuing education and the sharing of best practices is what gives us

continued relevancy in the ad world. We also believe in engaging our Franchises with a

continued structure of teleconferencing and seminars to keep us ahead of the advertising curve

in both the digital and traditional realms.

Want to join us for our next annual bootcamp? We would love to welcome you as our newest

franchise.

Viamark Launches NYC Office

Media Veteran Dean Mandel Launches Viamark Advertising in New York City

In a Big-Apple move, it was announced today that digital and traditional media pro Dean Mandel will give the #1 media market in the country a local boost with the digital and broadcast solutions of Viamark Advertising. Mandel, a Syracuse grad and 20-year ad veteran, will head up the Viamark NYC metro office beginning this month.

Mandel began his marketing career on the digital side, helping local businesses develop an internet presence back when the concept was barely understood by the rest of the ad world. He honed his digital marketing craft over the years, navigating swift changes in technology and merging his marketing know-how with interactive concepts. His experience includes managing digital platforms in conjunction with traditional broadcast, print and out-of-home assets. Most recently, he served as Vice President and General Sales Manager of CoxReps, the largest television station rep firm in the U.S, where he helped build video solutions to fit the social media landscape.

Mandel’s unique experience, along with the tools and resources of Viamark Advertising, brings a fresh approach to NYC businesses starving for effective, yet cost-attainable campaigns— something for which Viamark has become known. Mark Storie, Viamark’s President, called Dean Mandel “a seasoned dual-media pro that’s difficult to find in today’s messaging climate.” “We’re talking about someone who ‘gets it’ on every level – something from which NYC Metro businesses will truly benefit and thrive. Dean brings incredible savvy to the local table. We’re thrilled to have his knowledge and talent in New York City,” said Storie.

Storie added that recruiting outstanding talent and experience is what makes Viamark’s model so successful. “People like Dean finally give smaller businesses in large cities a critical edge, and more bang for their media dollar. NYC businesses couldn’t ask for a better partner than Dean Mandel,” he said.

Newly Expanded Two-state Ad Agency Becomes Viamark Carolinas

CHARLESTON, SC October 18, 2016 — After more than a decade of providing fullservice “tradigital” advertising and marketing services, Viamark Franchise owners Bea Raybourne and Gayle Brown have not only re-signed with Viamark Advertising for the Wilmington market, but they have also invested in the Charleston, SC franchise territory.  With a growing portfolio of clients already located throughout the South Carolina Lowcountry, this expansion now rebrands the Wilmington agency as “Viamark Carolinas”.

“This step just made sense for us,” says Gayle Brown, Vice President of Viamark Carolinas. “Our existing clients in the area, love for the Lowcountry, and passion for our clients and their advertising, all led us to this expansion.  We are thrilled to explore new opportunities and assist Charleston businesses in reaching their full potential through our proprietary systems and services.”

As Viamark Carolinas ventures beyond Wilmington, the Port City remains a powerful focus point for growth. According to the Post and Courier this past March, Coastal South Carolina saw some of the fastest population growth in the nation last year, and the three most rapidly growing metropolitan areas on the U.S.  Atlantic Coast were all in the Palmetto State for the third consecutive year.

“Our plan is to expand both markets, while we maintain and nurture our existing client relationships,” says President of Viamark Carolinas, Bea Raybourne. “With a presence in both markets, we see incredible growth potential and exciting new opportunities with new clients, and an expanding staff.”

The marketing duo plans to open an office in Charleston with an account executive that will cultivate new accounts, as they continue to manage existing client relationships.  Viamark Carolinas offers full-service, professional advertising, digital marketing, merchandising, and public relations services to the automotive, telecommunications, medical, education, retail, and real estate sectors.

Viamark Ranks in the Top 100 for Low Cost Franchises

 July, 2014

Viamark Makes Franchise Business Review’s List – Best Opportunities for Less Than $100K

2014 Franchise Satisfaction AwardWhat would you expect to get in a franchise that cost less than $100K? One of the best ways to know if a franchise opportunity is really as good as it appears is to look at its franchise satisfaction data.  Franchisors go to great lengths to put systems and programs in place for their franchisees to succeed.  That’s why Viamark Advertising, an ad agency franchise company, is basking in its recent selection of  Franchise Business Review’s Top 100 Low Cost Franchises.

The top 100 ranking is based on a survey of nearly 10,000 franchisees, representing more than 135 brands and 29,859 franchise units/locations across North America.  Franchise Business Review compiles all the data and then selects the list of the best low-cost franchises based on franchisee satisfaction.  Viamark ranked #75 of the best of the best in low-cost franchises.

“We have invested a lot of time and energy in creating a franchise opportunity that gives advertising, media and marketing professionals the tools to successfully run their own ad agency. The fact that this award is based on the feedback from our current Viamark franchisees makes this ranking particularly gratifying,” said Glenn Anderson, co-founder of Viamark Advertising. “Our goal is to continue this level of franchisee satisfaction as we add franchise locations in the future.”

“Viamark is different from most other franchise opportunities in that you do have to have experience and knowledge of the advertising industry,” said Mark Storie, the other co-founder of Viamark Advertising. “For the right individual who has that background and client relationships, however, we can provide the resources so they can avoid the pitfalls that many advertising people face on their own. Together, we can bring more success to our franchisees and most importantly to their clients.”

In April of this year, Viamark Advertising added a new franchise location in Charleston, SC, bringing the grand total of Viamark offices to 14 locations in five states. The company’s headquarters are in Plymouth, Massachusetts and New Bern, North Carolina.

Viamark Advertising handles more than 200 accounts on the east coast and specializes in strategic media buying, and creative services, including radio, television, print, outdoor, and digital advertising. Some of Viamark’s core industries include: automotive, healthcare, pharmaceutical, education, restaurant, retail and real estate.

NBA Legend Dr. J Makes An Appearance at Viamark’s Annual Bootcamp

Dr J at Viamark Annual Franchise Meeting
Viamark’s Bea Raybourne, Gayle Brown & Jen Kingman with Julius Erving.

As Wayne Gretzky once said,”You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take”.

So, when NBA legend Julius Erving appeared at Jimmy V’s Restaurant in Raleigh, NC during a Viamark event last week, it was no surprise that several Viamark franchisees sprung into action to get a picture with Dr. J for themselves and their sports fans back home.

Raleigh was the site of our Annual Viamark Franchisee Conference (a.k.a. “Bootcamp”), which ran from March 20-21.  That happened to be the same time that Raleigh was hosting Round 1 of the Men’s NCAA Tournament.  “Our main focus for this year’s Bootcamp was digital and non-traditional advertising, so we spent 2 days in training sessions with some of the ad industry’s leaders in digital and outdoor advertising.    Topics included SEO, PPC, retargeting, mobile marketing, internet radio and OOH advertising” said Mark Storie, President and co-founder of Viamark.  Glenn Anderson, Viamark VP and co-founder commented, “We had a jam-packed agenda both days which also included group brainstorming sessions and sharing best practices amongst our franchisees.  And, of course, we made time for fun which included a couple of Happy Hour events and a great dinner.”

Anderson continued, “The training won’t stop there…  We conduct monthly online training sessions for all of our franchisees and account executives in addition to our monthly brainstorming sessions.”

If you or a colleague has dreamed of starting an ad agency….Remember:  “You Miss 100% of the Shots You Don’t Take”.
